The power of vocabulary

For Writing today we have been finding out Wow words that we can use instead of the plain words we usually use in our stories.

Room 5 decided that this would be a good activity to do as it would help them to use better words in their writing to make it more enjoyable and interesting for the reader. 

Room 5 kids worked in groups of two or three and used their dictionary app and synonyms to find Wow words.

We then used another app called Word Pack and typed in our new found words.

We are going to print off the Word Pack pictures and hang them around the room as a reminder to use Wow words in our writing.
